woodsman’s socks :: noro

Ravel it.

Yarn :: Noro, Silk Garden Lite – colorway 2011

Pattern :: Woodsman’s Socks by Elizabeth Zimmerman

Needles :: US size 3 dpns

Mods :: cast-on 52 sts, worked garter stitch cuff and added an afterthough heel (the harlot has a great tutorial here).

I am thinking of adding suede/leather bottoms to these to turn them into slippers as they are so thick and warm.

News ………………

I am working on moving into a new studio for Madtosh, so instead of dyeing I have been painting walls, laying out floor plans and building a new office. We are expected to move in next week and of course I will have pics of the new workspace soon. Words cannot explain my excitement, so I will not try.

The Magnolia Society shipments should be headed out the door this week. The test skein has been dyed and I think everyone is going to love the subtle, glazed coloring.

By the way. Have you seen these t-shirts? I cannot deny that I have already ordered one.

On a final note. I seem to be getting a @#$ – load of spam lately. Any recommendations on how to quell this?

I am still working on the not receiving notice that I have received comments thing…. So if you have left a comment and have not heard back I apologize, again.

xo,

amy

Will you do your yarn club only in the summer or will I get a chance to join later this year? Thanks!

Oh and congrats on the new place! I move into a new house in less than 3 weeks and the wait is killing me!

    Hey Krista,

I will offer new slots in the yarn club again this Fall, no worries.

As for the move I wish I could blink my eyes and have everything sorted and ready. The wait and having to do a little bit at a time is a slow form of torture I think.

Love the Woodman’s Socks. I’ve been wanting to make a pair ofnice, simple socks but hadn’t figured out the yarn. Thanks to you – now I have. Your blog is a joy to read. Thank you for all you do.
