SHIPPING

Domestic Packages:

We ship all domestic packages via United States Postal Service PRIORITY Mail (USPS), approximately 3 – 5 business days after the receipt of your order, or 7 – 9 business days if it is a sale day, due to the large volume of orders. The general shipping times for USPS Priority mail are as follows:

In the USA – priority shipments generally take 3 – 5 business days.

Shipping wait times are an approximation and not a guarantee.

Domestic packages are shipped via Priority Mail as they can be insured and tracked with this service. Madelinetosh Co. is not responsible for any lost, or stolen items once shipped. We can not replace the lost or stolen items once the order has left our facility.

International Packages:

We ship all International packages via United States Postal Service FIRST Class Mail, approximately 3 – 5 business days after the receipt of your order, or 7 – 9 business days if it is a sale day, due to the large volume of orders. The general shipping times for USPS First Class Mail are as follows:

All International first class shipments generally take 2 – 12 weeks to deliver.

Shipping wait times are an approximation from our experiences with First Class Mail International, as USPS does not guarantee the delivery of the packages in a certain time frame with First Class Mail International.

*All International orders over 4 pounds in weight must be shipped via USPS Priority Mail as First Class mail for this weight class in not available via USPS regulations. If your order is over the 4lb limit, we will invoice you via PayPal for the difference in the label cost, and what was originally paid.

International First Class packages cannot be insured or accounted for once they have left our offices as USPS does not offer these services on First Class packages. If you would like your International Package to be shipped via USPS Priority Mail instead contact us directly at info@madelinetosh.com to make these arrangements.

All international customers are responsible for their country’s customs fees and duties. Fees vary from country to country and madelinetosh.com is not responsible for these fees.
Customs forms are filled out in accordance with International law to accurately reflect value and contents of the package. Packages cannot be marked as “gifts” as this is illegal.

Combined Shipping:

Shipping will be combined across orders placed the same day (12:00 AM to 11:59 PM CST). Except for packages over $200 or over 5 lbs weight. We will refund the difference in price for the label vs. what you paid. You will receive an email notification with the amount credited to your account. Due to order volume, orders placed across multiple days will not be combined.

Missing Packages:

For Domestic (U.S.) packages: 

Contact Info@madelinetosh.com with your order number, and tracking information and we will contact USPS and file a missing parcel claim that business day. USPS will then contact the last post office location your tracking information has listed, and have them relocate the package, or confirm the delivery of the package.

Madelinetosh Co. is not responsible for any items lost, stolen, or confirmed as delivered once they have been shipped. We can not replace, or issue a refund for packages lost , stolen, or confirmed as delivered once the package has left our facility.

 

 

For International Packages:

USPS First Class Mail International does not offer tracking, or delivery confirmation, and isn’t required to arrive in a certain time frame by USPS. These packages are ineligible for claims to be filed by USPS. The 2 – 12 week delivery period is an average calculated in our experiences with First Class Mail. We recommend you contact your customs office to see if they package has been held in review. You will have to contact them since these packages do not update tracking to notify you of it’s current status in customs. When you contact your customs office, you may use the package ID that we add to your paypal receipt, and your order receipt through madelinetosh.com.

If your package goes unclaimed from Customs, they will return the package to madelinetosh co marked as unclaimed. Once the package arrives here, we will happily notify you and reship the package to you.

If you contacted us to use Priority Mail International contact Info@madelinetosh.com with your order number, and tracking information and we will contact USPS and file a missing parcel claim that business day. Sales Tax:

Madelinetosh.com is located in Texas. Texas residents will be charged 8.25% sales tax on all orders, including pattern downloads.

RETURN POLICY

Unused yarn in its original condition/packaging may be exchanged for a refund within 2 months (60 days) of purchase. Sale items and patterns are not eligible for return.

Note, items purchased at madelinetosh.com are not eligible for return or exchange at the Madtosh store-front based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Refunds will be issued for the full invoice amount minus any shipping costs incurred. Shipping costs will only be refunded if your items were damaged or your order was improperly shipped thus prompting the return.

We will happily work with you regarding flawed or damaged skeins please contact us first prior to your return at info@madelinetosh.com to request a return shipping label.

Please, allow up to four weeks for all returns/exchanges to be received and processed.

Packages mailed to Madelinetosh which are INELIGIBLE FOR RETURN will NOT be refunded.

Merchandise returned for exchange or replacement to madelinetosh.com must include the following:

  • original receipt
  • note with the reason for the return
  • customer’s email address
  • customer’s phone number
  • customer’s shipping address

A NOTE ON HAND-DYED YARNS

Our yarns are hand-dyed in small batches. As such dye lots are small and unique. The beauty of the colorways we create is directly related to the small size of the lots we dye. Each skein is truly individual and one-of-a-kind.

That said we do our best to match skeins for shipments as we understand your desire to match yarns as closely as possible for your project. It is normal for there to be variation among dye lots, please keep this in mind when ordering yarns for a large project.

A few rules to go by when using hand-dyed yarns.

Work two rows from one skein and then switch to an alternate skein to work two more rows. Keep alternating between both skeins every two rows. This will blend the subtle differences in two dye lots with ease. Carry your strands up the side of your work as you go, no need to cut and weave in extra ends on your project.

If working in the round drop your strand and pick up a strand from an alternate skein changing skeins every 2 to 4 rounds and carrying the strands up inside the fabric.
