1 pair of u.s. size 4 (3.5 mm) double point needles or one 40 inch, u.s. size 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle for the magic loop method

a small stitch holder or piece of waste yarn to hold thumb stitches 2-3 stitch markers tapestry needle for weaving in ends
