A lush and dense striped cowl using a simple lace pattern to break up the mottled tones in the yarns.


Madelinetosh Tosh DK (2) 225 yrd skeins, shown in Graphite (dark grey) and Candlewick (yellow) colorways.


U.S. 7 or 4.5 mm 24” or 81.3 cm (32” or cm) circular needle. Change needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.


One stitch marker for beginning of round. One yarn needle for weaving in ends.


5 sts = 1” inch in stockinette stitch (st st) on US 7 (4.5 mm) needle or size needed to obtain gauge.


Finished measurements:
Short version = 26 inches in circumference by 18 inches in height.
Long version = 44 inches in circumference by 12 inches in width.

This cowl is worked in the round alternating between two different colorways. The resulting fabric is dense and warm. The accent color here which is yellow peeps through occasionally as it recedes behind the dominate color which is black in this instance.
