i heart the fingerless mitts in the toast uk catalog soooo, i made a pair in cashmere ::

- pattern :: my toast mitts
- needles :: US size 7 and US size 8 dpns
- yarn :: 2 skeins of lobster pot cashmere in beach plum (or any aran weight yarn with a bit of drape)
Pattern
Cast on 40 sts using US size 7 dpns and join for working in the round.
Work st st in the round for 3 inches
Switch to US size 8 dpns for a looser fit.
Continue in st st until base of thumb.
Knit first 7 sts of round onto waste yarn to hold sts for the thumb.
Continue working until just above your knuckles (the rolled cuff will take away approx half an inch) and cast off for a rolled cuff.
Return to thumb, place sts on hold evenly across dpns, pick up a few sts at each corner, knit 10 rounds in st st.
Bind off and wear!
If you have anymore tips to refine this pattern let me know and I will add them on.

You may have noticed that you must now log in to leave a message on this blog. I had to change the security settings for this blog because I was receiving thousands (seriously thousands!) of spam messages etc.. each day. I hate to have to change the setting and know it is a pain in the arse but I couldn’t imagine spending more time each day erasing viagra, porn and realtor sites.
