"This delicate cardigan was designed to hug your body and keep you warm with different layers of fabric folded over your heart. Many tailoring details were used for this piece: shoulder pleats, folded neckline and collar, smocked fabric, peplum and ties. It is built in several sections that are joined as you go, so very little finishing is required. It is knitted from the top down. and the sleeves are picked up and worked in the round."
Sweater love at first sight. When we saw Lindsay Degen's latest design, carDEGEN, we had to kit it up.
CONSTRUCTION /// This collared cardigan is knit bottom up. The body is knit as one piece and the sleeves are knit in the round until the underarm. The sleeves are seamed in along the raglan. Next the plackets are knit on. Finally, the collar is knit on and buttons are applied.
