5 (5, 5, 6, 6) [6, 7, 7, 7] {7, 8, 8} skeins for a sweater worked in 1 color only.

Option 1 ― For a sweater with contrasting trim you will need: 4 (4, 4, 5, 5) [5, 5, 6, 6] {6, 6, 7} skein(s) in Color A and 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) [2, 2, 2, 2] {2, 2, 2} skein(s) in Color B for a sweater worked in 2 colors. 

Option 2 ― For a sweater knit in stripes you will need: 3 (3, 3, 3, 3) [4, 4, 4, 4] {4, 4, 5} skeins in Color A, 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) [2, 2, 2, 2] {2, 2, 2} skeins in Color B, and 2 (2, 2, 2, 2) [2, 2, 2, 2] {2, 2, 2} skeins in Color C.

NEEDLES | Circular needle and double pointed needles (or needles appropriate for your preferred method of small circumference circular knitting) in US size 7 (4.5mm) or size required to obtain gauge.

You will also need one DPN for grafting the shoulders. Additionally you will need a needle of any kind that is 2 sizes larger than gauge to bind off the ribbing.

SUPPLIES NEEDED | 7 stitch markers, a darning needle for weaving in ends, 6 (6, 7, 7, 7) [7, 7, 7, 7] {7, 7, 7} buttons approximately 3/4" ― 7/8" in diameter.

GAUGE | In stockinette stitch 19 sts and 29 rows = 4". Suggested needle size US 7 or metric size 4.5mm.
